Visiting the Museum

  • What are the opening hours?

    The museum's opening hours are daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, and it is closed on public holidays.

  • Is there any charge for visiting the museum?

    There is no fee for entry.

  • How do I get to the Hong Kong Museum of Education?

    The Hong Kong Museum of Education is located at Block D1, Podium Level, The Education University of Hong Kong, 10 Lo Ping Road, Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong.

School and Group Visit

  • Who can apply for the free docent-led guided tours?

    Free docent-led tours are offered for education institutions and non-profit organisations.

  • How long do guided tours last?

    It lasts for around 20 to 30 minutes.

  • We have more than 100 students. May we all visit at the same time?

    The maximum number of visitors for each group is 20.
    It is suggested to divide the students into several groups and schedule visits throughout the same day in different time slots.

  • Where can we park the coach?

    No parking space for coaches would be available. Coaches may drop off / pick up passengers on Ground floor, Block D2, The Education University of Hong Kong.

  • How can the Public make donations to Hong Kong Museum of Education?

    HKME is seeking the general support of people who share our passion for educational heritage and informal educational opportunities to ensure that they are sustained for future generations. Individuals, companies and charitable trusts can support our work through donation of artefacts or monetary donation.
